about

"And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters."
Jeremiah 9:18

First presented during 'If trees were lone women what would they sound like?' during Sanctuary Lab 2021. Clare Archibald, with Ruaridh Law, created a sound and performance installation deep in the Galloway Forest. For 24 hours only visitors were able to track and trace the individual and collective voices of the 'lone women wood'.

Full details of the installation can be found here: sanctuarylab.org/artists-2021/if-trees-were-lone-women-what-would-they-sound-like-clare-archibald/
